While living in a property the tenants are responsible for taking reasonable measures to prevent damage and care for minor repairs. Unfortunately, accidents happen. If a key breaks inside of a lock it will require a locksmith to resolve the issue. The cost for the locksmith and or repair will be charged back to the tenant. If a key starts to stick, or you begin to have issues with a lock, notify the maintenance department as soon as possible to see if the broken key can be avoided by servicing the locking mechanism.
